The
Freshman JumpStart programme prepares students enrolling
in universities in Fall 2003 for the unique challenges
of their first year of post-secondary education. A student’s
performance during the Freshman year — when a
number of key prerequisite courses may be simultaneously
taken — may have far-reaching consequences for
subsequent applications to competitive professional
programmes such as Medicine, Law, and Dentistry. In
Ontario the situation has been rendered even more acute
this year as the Double Cohort finally hits university
campuses across the province in September. The Freshman
JumpStart helps ensure each of its programme participants
gets ahead of the academic curve and stays ahead of
the competition for the rest of the year. |
